Can there be a possibility of trapping industrial Green House Gases (GHGs) at source and converting them into something environmentally safe?!
Also, can the nations (developed, developing, LDC's etc) leave aside their differences and concentrate on a proportionate division of responsibility to really come out with a solution here......cause mother nature doesn't care for borders.......so a solution to this border-less issue should also be border-less!!!

i think in case of developing countries like my own india technologies can play a greater role like our dependence on renewable sources is very low like in india more than 75 %electricity is produce from thermal plants so we should increase our dependence on rewenable sourses for our energy needs.our industries lack latest devices which prevent release of green house gases. In todays world automobiles also contributing to polllution so companies should concentrate on pollution free fuels like CNG,electricity, air, solar energy etc.so i thing science which have generated this problem can find solutions of tackling this problem.   / 8 days ago

Industrial hemp (not the type people smoke) grows easily and takes carbon dioxide out of the air while growing. Massive areas could be covered with a growth of industrial hemp to reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. It is carbon neutral if burnt for heat etc, then grown again. topic for debate: do the facts support AGW? Or, is it a scam postulated by a few scientists in collaboration with politicians who all have their own ulterior motives?

Please post your thoughts. Thanks!

Sandip Sen posted a new video:

The farce of emission cut promises is too apparent to ignore. The biggest defaulter the U.S. anounced 17 % off on emissions followed by China with a 40% off offer. It appears that Copenhagen has become a discount stores for the sale of PLANET EARTH where politicians are running of numbers without an iota of background work of how to achieve these reductions. Nobody is commiting funds to clean energy projects as they are all waiting to cash on the billions to be produced by the fictatious carbon economy which will never happen   / 14 days ago

Lomborg: Why does it appear that Copenhagen has failed before it has begun? It seems next-to-certain that no binding, meaningful carbon reduction agreement will be signed this December. Politicians are looking for some way to pretend that a political agreement is a 'success' - but they are also looking around for others to blame. Read more on the discussion board!   / 2 weeks ago

Dear Bjørn, it's probably just me, but my understanding has always been that you didn't care much for a binding agreement anyway? I can only agree that others are looking for a scape-goat or a good plausible explaination for this situation, but I didn't think the critique would come from you. In that case could you please tell me how you would like a binding agreement to look - in a perfect world? Christina

Governments represent people. What people wants, government will implement sooner or later. So the real question is weather we are aware and are we willing to pay the price, even at the cost of our conveniences. We, the climate change aware group travels around in polluting vehicles, fly around to give talks on climate change, and fly and drive for flimsiest reasons. Re we willing to sacrifice this world of instant gratification. Newer and newer technologies are only making the situation worst by shifting the pollution venue behind our view (electric and hydrogen technologies). Are we brave enough?? To travel slow, to communicate at a slower speed, to consume ata lesser pace, to have less conveniences, to mechanize less. We hold the power and we are powerful. The only question is, are we brave enough?
